This video captures a special day from Ireland’s Favourite Folk Song, an educational songwriting series delivered in partnership with IMRO and inspired by RTÉ’s celebration of Ireland’s rich folk music tradition.

The day began with an interactive songwriting workshop led by Luan Parle, where students collaborated to write and develop an original song together. In the afternoon, Luan interviewed acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Mundy, exploring his musical journey, creative process, and the realities of building a career in the music industry. Through thoughtful questions and honest conversation, students gained valuable insights into songwriting, resilience, creativity, and the lessons that come from lived experience as a professional artist.

The day concluded with a live performance from Mundy, followed by the students performing the original song they had written earlier, celebrating a day of creativity, collaboration, and musical discovery.
