Collective Voices | Tinnitus Documentary

Collective Voices documents a groundbreaking community songwriting project developed in collaboration with researchers at Trinity College Dublin, exploring whether the lived experience of tinnitus could be expressed through songwriting.

Led by Luan Parle, participants living with tinnitus came together to share their personal experiences, transforming stories that are often difficult to articulate into melody, lyrics, and an original song. Through a supportive and collaborative creative process, the project demonstrated how songwriting can provide a powerful means of expression, connection, and reflection.

This documentary follows the journey from the first conversations through to the creation of a song many participants never believed they would be able to write. Featuring interviews, creative sessions, and the finished piece, it offers a unique insight into where music, research, health, and lived experience come together, highlighting the potential of songwriting as a meaningful tool for communication, wellbeing, and community.
